Emerald Island Retreat - our home on the magnificent Emerald Island Resort, Kissimmee, Florida. Located off the popular Formosa Garden Blvd and only minutes from Disney, our townhome is an ideal alternative to cramped hotel accommodation, and also cheaper! From the moment you see the palm tree lined entrance together with the colonnade / dolphin water fountain feature, you know you have arrived somewhere special for your vacation!
Our names are Andrew and Rosemary and we successfully rent out our townhome at competitive rates on daily, weekly or longer durations. It is fully licensed with the appropriate authorities and maintained by a small local family run management company who provide 24/7 cover in case of emergencies.
We appreciate you may have concerns about booking a home over the internet from complete strangers. Why wouldn't you - we would! With this in mind we invite past guests to make entries into our guestbook. Their comments will hopefully alleviate any fears that you may have about our home, us as the owners, the location itself and actually making your accommodation booking in this way. Please, if you have not done so already, make sure you read their entries to help you in your decision making. Please remember that you are dealing directly with the owners and not an agency. As such we hope you consider us helpful and honest. All of the photographs contained on this website have been taken by us during our regular visits and are updated regularly. What you see on this site is what you will see at our home and the resort.
Enough about us - it's our home you're interested in.....
Our home is a 3 bedroom townhouse with approximately 1246ft2 of floor area and is licensed to accommodate a maximum of 8 people, although we would recommend a maximum of 6 people for privacy. The master bedroom has a Queen size bed; ensuite shower facilities and patio doors leading out to a balcony containing two cushioned chairs overlooking the man made lake to the rear of our home. Bedroom 2 has a Double bed; Bedroom 3 has two single beds (or twins). For those families with young children, we provide at no extra cost a travel cot and high chair. Additional sleeping arrangements are via a double sofabed located downstairs in the living area.
Each bedroom has its own TV tuned in to receive the numerous cable channels on offer, and a DVD player and PS2 console is located in the living room should you find yourselves wanting for something to do!
An equipped kitchen will enable you to prepare meals should you decide not to eat at the many fine restaurants and dining facilities located nearby.
Courtesy DVD's and PS2 games are provided for your enjoyment, but if you are feeling energetic, then two tennis racquets and tennis balls are provided for your enjoyment on the nearby tennis courts.
Emerald Island provides all guests FREE use of its facilities, including the use of two heated pools, two heated spa pools, two floodlit tennis courts, a volleyball court, childrens play area, not forgetting the fitness centre and sauna that is located within the main clubhouse. A cyber cafe' is located within the clubhouse with three PC terminals, but if you have a wireless WiFi laptop computer you have the added benefit of high-speed access to the internet in the comfort of the clubhouse lounge area (local fees payable for computer use / access in the clubhouse). We do, however, offer free high speed wireless internet access from the comfort of our home - just bring your own laptop!
We have tried to keep our website easy to navigate, simple and concise.
